Artist Scott LoBaido: Victory from the Right over Hate

When I spoke with Scott, he was moments away from round two of his fight for decency, patriotism, and the right for anyone to love whomever they want. Scott had finished a composition titled “The Truth (Welcome Home),” a portrait of the church’s leader Fred W. Phelps Sr. wearing high heels and ladies underwear, sitting on the lap of Satan. Phelps’s daughter Shirley Phelps-Roper was also in the painting.  Scott was showing this painting (seen below) across the street form the Westboro Church giving them a dose of their own medicine but with more class, originality, and flair.

If the fight to gain our country back from the Democratic Media Complex needs to come from taking back the narrative in popular culture, then we need to support artists like Scott LoBaido by donating to his cause, buying his art, and plastering it all over America to remind us where we come from and what’s being lost.

It is not entirely accurate to call Fred Phelps, "the face of evil and intolerance."

He is really the "face of lawsuit baiting." The truth needs to be told about this guy. While I'm sure he has plenty of hate in his heart (he's pals with Al Gore after all), Phelps is all about inciting people so that he can sue them for violating his civil rights. His family/church members (pretty much the same thing in his case) all have law degrees. They are trained to create lawsuits.

"During 1993–94 interviews with the Topeka Capital-Journal, the four Phelps children (out of thirteen, Mark, Nate, Katherine and Dotty) who had left the church asserted that their father’s religious beliefs were either nonexistent to begin with or have dwindled down to nearly nothing." I agree. Ignore him. I find the idea that legislation has been passed to keep this guy quiet ridiculous. Isn't that a victory for Phelps? I prefer the Patriot Guard Riders' approach. They support the families of soldiers from the Phelps' protests by blocking the protesters with their Harley Davidsons and gunning the throttle whenever they need to drown out these Westboro freaks. It's very effective.
